  • Yearbooks can still be purchased until they are all gone! We will sell remainders on Wednesday, May 20th before the signing if students want to bring a check or cash. The cost is $32.00; checks should be made out to LMCMS Yearbook. Students may bring money to Room 211 or the front office up to May 19th. On May 20th yearbooks may be purchased at the yearbook handout table when classes pick up and sign yearbooks.

  • ZJO HZ Congratulations to LMCMS’ four National History Day teams who competed in the state competition on Saturday at Washburn University. 2 of our teams swept the documentaries category: Jodi Gore, Zoe Wohlford, and Olivia Rothrock won first and Helena All and Zuzu Melchor took second. Both teams will advance to the national competition in Washington D.C. in June. Great job!

  • During the week of May 4th, we will hold a fundraiser sponsored by Emily Myers and Builders Club! The funds will go to Action Against Hunger, which treats people for malnutrition in 45 countries. There will be jars in your advisory and a door decorating contest! 

    The advisory that wins the decorating contest will win a mystery prize!

  • Cheer For all current 7th Grade students interested in being a Mustang Cheer or Yell Leader for the 2015-16 school year:

    The application for LMCMS Cheer will be available April 13th and due May 11th to Coach Olden. Clinics will be held May 11th and 12th from 3:30-4:30 and tryouts will be May 14th. In order to tryout, all athletic paperwork needs to be submitted. It is recommended that a physical be completed after May 1 so that it will fulfill the physical requirement for the 2014-15 School year.

    A mandatory parent meeting will be help May 11th at 4:30pm in the cafeteria.

  • Garden Logo Summer Gardening starts May 26th! We will be gardening 9-11a Monday - Thursday. Tuesdays, we will visit local farms, gardens, and growing related businesses to learn how other people grow food in our community.  Each Thursday afternoon, we also travel to the Farmer’s Market at Cottin’s Hardware & Rental. Students who have completed 6th grade are invited to sign up to work at the Market. Please submit the Summer Garden form to Laura Leonard prior to participation.

  • Shirt
    Design the 2015-16 STOMP Shirt!
    We need a new STOMP t-shirt for next year!
    Every student will receive a new shirt with the winning design next August so make your mark on LMCMS by designing next year's shirt! The design needs to be in one color and incorporate STOMP. A committee of students and staff will select one winner from all submissions. Designs are due by email or on white copy paper (no notebook paper) to the main office by May 1st. See Miss Laura with questions.

    Your art is needed for the 2015-16 Agenda covers!

    * Designs must be 8 1/2 by 11 inches (copy paper) or smaller

    Mustangs, are you interested in a scrumptious picnic lunch on a beautiful sunny day? 
    It’s all yours… IF we can help CANS FOR THE COMMUNITY collect just 5,000 pounds of aluminum cans this April! 
    That’s right –just 5,000 pounds of aluminum cans! That’s roughly 450 pounds total from LMCMS or 1 pound per student!
    That’s all it takes to get YOU a tasty outdoor picnic AND score some cash for LMCMS!
    Drop your aluminum cans off in the Cans for Community bins located in the commons area by the cafeteria and in the atrium by the attendance office.

  • Attention all Central girls interested in volleyball. Coach Magnuson at LHS will be hosting a volleyball camp for all grade levels this summer July 13th -July 17th. If you have interest in attending or have questions please visit with Mr. Henrichs in room 201. Brochures are available from Mr. Henrichs or outside the office. The brochures are red in color.

    Entries are due Wednesday, April 29. A panel of ELA teachers will judge entries based on originality and creativity. A Scholastic book (up to $20) of your choice is the prize!
