Lawrence Senior High Schools

Our senior high schools offer a comprehensive curriculum, including a strong selection of college-preparatory, career-technical education and elective courses. Students choose from more than 200 courses, including those recommended as the Kansas Regents college-preparatory curriculum, courses that students select based on personal and career interests and those that prepare students for the College Board's Advanced Placement tests.

Required courses allow students to master English, mathematics, science and social students standards and benchmarks. Students build knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to value and practice healthy, responsible lifestyles. They gain the capacity to appreciate and enjoy artistic expression in diverse forms.

A wide range of electives pique student interest in agriculture science and technology, business and computer technology, family and consumer science, fine arts, foreign languages, health and technology and applied sciences.

Students build friendships and leadership abilities while practicing sportsmanship and teamwork skills through myraid clubs and activity offerings, including band, baseball, basketball, bowling, cheerleading, chorus, cross country, debate, football, forensics, golf, gymnastics, orchestra, pom squad, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, theatre, track and field, volleyball and wrestling.
