Helpful Application Hints:
- Preference Tab – For type of Employment, select Certified/Licensed. It is important that you (1) indicate your level preference and (2) prioritize your position/assignment preference(s). Apply for a specific open position by selecting Open Jobs (located on the top menu bar) and then select Certificated Positions.
- Education Tab – Include all degrees earned. If you have additional hours beyond the highest degree listed, go back to the Preference Tab and in the Applicant's Comment box enter the number of college hours and where they were earned.
- Certificates Tab – Include all certificates, licenses and endorsements. The certificate number is optional.
- License Tab – Include other professional licenses (i.e. Registered Nurse).
- Skills Tab – Include all pertinent information.
- Experience Tab – Start with the most recent year. List each year of teaching or administrative experience for the last ten (10) years including partial years and part-time teaching. DO NOT list paraeducator positions, substitute teaching, or graduate teaching assistantships.
- Reference Tab – List three references, consisting of immediate supervisors (i.e. superintendent, principal). In addition to the required fields, also include the address, city, state, and phone number for each reference. If you have no prior teaching experience, list cooperating teacher(s) and college supervisor of your student teaching. The required reference form will be automatically sent to your reference(s) if you enter the email address of your reference(s) and select SEND at the bottom of the screen.
- Inserts Tab – Complete all required certified inserts - application questions and reference forms. If you send the reference insert by email (see Reference Tab instructions), it will not be necessary to print the reference forms insert.
- Upload Tab – You may copy and paste from your word processor a resume and cover letter.
- Summary Tab – Review your application, make any needed corrections/additions, and print a copy for your records. If you have not clicked on all the tabs listed above, you will NOT be able to view your summary page.
- Submit Application Tab – Read and respond to the questions in the Disclosure Statement section. Read the Authorization and Release information section. If you agree, type YES in caps and then select CONFIRM DISCLOSURE STATEMENT. After the Disclosure Statement screen, you need to complete a three-step process for your Electronic Signature. When you have completed these three screens and clicked on Submit Application on screen three, you will receive an email from the Human Resources Department confirming the receipt of your application. If you update and/or make changes to your online application AFTER it has been submitted, press SAVE on the tab pages you changed or updated. DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION AGAIN! Your changes/updates are electronically transferred.
