Vanessa Sanburn
I am honored to serve as a school board member and welcome your point of view and comments. I will work hard to ensure that I always keep the best interests of students in mind when making decisions.
My Priorities:
- Focus on achievement for all students;
- Ensure adequate distribution of resources to meet student and teacher needs;
- Make decisions based on facts and sound scientific data, not on ideology;
- Effectively engage community members in the decision-making process.
I have a BS in Biology from Wichita State University, and I'm currently working on a Master's of Social Work at the University of Kansas. My husband, Jake, and I live in North Lawrence with our six-year-old daughter, who attends Woodlawn Elementary. I am proud of Lawrence schools and will work hard to ensure that we meet the needs of every student.
