Vanessa Sanburn
I am honored to serve as a school board member and welcome your point of view and comments. As a board member, I will work hard to ensure that I always keep the best interests of students in mind when making decisions.
My Priorities:
- Focus on improving achievement for all students;
- Ensure adequate distribution of resources to meet student and teacher needs;
- Make decisions based on facts and sound scientific data, not on ideology;
- Effectively engage community members in the decision-making process.
I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology from Wichita State University and a Master's of Social Work from the University of Kansas. My husband, Jake, and I live in North Lawrence with our nine-year-old daughter, who attends Woodlawn Elementary. I am proud to be part of Lawrence Public Schools and will work hard to ensure that we meet the needs of every student.
