Mark Bradford
 It is an honor and privilege to continue my public service to the community as a member of the board of education for Lawrence Public Schools. It is our task as parents to ensure that every child has the ability to receive the best education possible. I am dedicated to provide the mechanisms for every family to make this fundamental goal possible.
I began my fire service career in 1977, advancing through the ranks to fire chief in 2005. I received a bachelor's in business administration and master's in public administration from the University of Kansas. I am married to Trish and we have a son, Zachary.
My 32 years of municipal government experience has given me the opportunity to observe, engage and lead individuals to establish successful strategies, goals and opportunities. It is my intention to work with the other board members and district leadership to provide the best possible educational environment possible. This is a team effort: the student, parent, teacher, staff, board and community. We all have a role in the success of our district.
It is imperative that we maintain a visible and open methodology of communication to ensure that our goal is achieved.
